Well it looks like Ubisoft Montreal is working on a new Rainbow 6 game entitled Patriots and have been very quiet about this, until someone tried to leak out the targeted gameplay footage. In attempt to beat the person to it, the company officially released a video showing pre-rendered footage of the game on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel.
The development of Rainbow 6 Patriots is assisted by Ubisoft’s Toronto and Red Storm and will feature a dynamic single player storyline that is based on homegrown terrorism and will enable gamers to live it through different characters’ perspective. The premise revolves around a group of political self-proclaimed vigilantes known as the “True Patriots” who are out to reclaim the country from the government which they believe to be corrupt and dirty. Patriots will undoubtedly have co-op and multiplayer aspects incorporated, including rewards for communication and tactical execution between teammates. Rainbow 6 Patriots is due to be out in 2013.
