Dust 514 is a PS3 exclusive MMOFPS game set in the universe of EVE Online, the critically-acclaimed science fiction MMORPG. There are already lots of MMO games out there but unlike them, Dust 514 is unique thanks to its link with EVE. In EVE Online, PC players build up economies and amass corporations to conquer and dominate territories. And players usually engage in dogfights and duke it out in epic space warfare. Now, corporations within EVE Online can issue battle contracts to conquer the territories on planets owned by other corporations. Dust 514 then, is the real time illustration of those battles taking place planet-side. Mercenaries in-game can accept these contracts to attack or defend the locations to claim the bounty. Hence, Dust 514 maintains an on-the-fly connection with EVE Online.
Just a couple of days ago, CCP revealed to fans of Dust 514 some new details of the Mobile Command Centers or MCCs. These behemoth of vehicles measure at 200 meters in length and are the largest and most powerful weapons a team has, which houses the commander. And according to the official site, the obliteration of MCCs is the primary objective in Dust 514′s battles. Not much details have been given on the game’s command hierarchy which explains how players are grouped and led by the commander, though previous reports suggest that it is somewhat similar to Savage. As the MCC is the most important factor of any skirmish, it is only natural that the control centre is heavily fortified and shielded, only susceptible to heavy weapons barrages. However, given its high dependence on fuel, simply cutting its supply would bring down the turrets, critical systems and shields.
