5 First Person Shooters to Look Forward to in 2010

November 28, 2009 1 PC, Playstation, Xbox

Crysis 2 (PC Xbox PS3)

Get ready to break the piggy bank for this one, Crysis is two years old now but still widely considered the benchmark for PC gaming performance, Crysis 2 running on the new CryEngine 3 is likely to insult your PC and bring tears to your eyes, with full DX 11 support and expanded graphics this one will not disappoint.

Deus Ex 3 (PC PS3 Xbox)

This one has been kept well under wraps with nothing more than a few bits of concept art being released, however this title has never disappointed and is something of a cult now, definitely something to look forward to.

Rage (PC PS3 Xbox OSX)

Rage is the upcoming title from Id Software which also happens to be their first major release in over a decade, this is set in a post-apocalyptic world which is nothing new to our generation of gamers, it is however a blend between a solid FPS and a racing game, which is unique to say the least.

Halo Reach (PC PS3 Xbox)

Another one with the covers pulled over tightly, its announcement at E3 2009 was news to even the most avid fan and further information has been limited. Master Cheif is coming back to your screen however, get ready for more brash violence and multiplayer action.

BioShock 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Following the original completely revolutionary game we are in for a treat with Bioshock 2, multiplayer is being added into the features list amongst other great elements.

New Borderlands Content

November 26, 2009 0 PC, Xbox

Borderlands, we love it! And now there’s more.

2K Games has released new content for Xbox and PlayStation users in the form of an update: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned

“Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned (who is not related to Dr. Zed from Fyrestone) does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region,” says Gearbox.

“Players will have to work alongside Dr. Ned as they embark on a quest to cure the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove in this full-fledged expansion filled with new enemies, new quests and rare loot drops.”

No news yet on the PC release, hopefully PC users wont have to wait too long to get stuck in.
