CPL Website Press Update
One of the major issues that have come up over the years has been the alleged non-payment of prize monies to a number of players from previous CPL events. As we start to unveil our new course for CPL, the previous owners and we would like to show our commitment to the community and those that participated in the past CPL events by paying anyone who can prove that they did not receive their prize payments. These claims will go through a vetting process and be audited by a third party. The form to begin the process, if you feel you’re qualified, will be released this week as part of the CPL Portal rollout.

Bungie Signs 10 Year Exclusivity Deal With Activision
Announced yesterday this news was nearly a complete surprise, this will be Bungie’s first signing since their split from Microsoft in 2007.
To date, Bungie’s Halo games have generated approximately $1.5 billion in revenues, and following the mighty rift caused by the MW2 court scandal this might be just what Activision needs to boost its market share again.
With news that the two lead developers at Infinity Ward’s MW2 headquarters have been fired for apparent “attempted corporate espionage” the mood in the office at IW is “terrible” according to an inside source – speaking to Kotaku.
Things have now taken a turn for the worse with Activision, IW’s parent company withholding payments to the less than 100 strong team, which has caused many key devolpers at the studio to defect to former lead developer Jason West and Vince Zampella’s new company Respawn Entertainment – Recently signed by Electronic Arts, Activision’s arch rivals in the games publishing industry.
