Aliens vs Predator review – DukesOfDevon

Many years ago:

“Great game guys. Can you do a sequel for us?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“I was thinking; why not call it ‘AvP 3’? Or ‘AvP: Wayland’s a real wanker’?”
“Oh. That’s not really cool with us, we’ll just call it Aliens Vs Predator.”

cssmixes.co.uk – What’s This All About?

We ran an article a short while ago about a new Counter Strike Source mix website in its Beta stages, the site at its basic form allows users to sign up and join games in loosely allied 5 man teams and battle it out in CS:source maps of their choice. The idea is sound and there are loads of people already using the service. I decided to give the site a little while to mature before giving it a go myself so that my view would not be obscured by teething issues. Anyway.. I signed up today and had a bash, these are my results:

Star Trek Online – Dukes Review

As a newcomer to the MMO world, I’ve never played WoW, I’ve been offended by the box art on Guild Wars and I have no idea what Ultima online was like. I still can’t get my head around paying monthly for a game, especially when as a spectator these games appear to involve a lot of waiting around. And seem to require two monitors.

I ventured into Age of Conan, got bored quite fast and disappointed by the lack of variation. Even its ‘new’ combat system got quite old quite fast.
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning was enjoyable, but only really for the PvP content, all too soon the imbalances became crippling, the casting lag ruined half the classes and the dwindling player base left no one to fight anyway. A shame really, the big fights in the game were fantastic fun, and that’s all you can ask of a game.

Review – Universe at War: Earth Assault

‘Pew Pew Laser Beams’

Right, like many of you (I’m sure), I can’t wait for the new Aliens Vs Predator game. I’ve really enjoyed the series and hope this new title won’t disappoint! So I’ve pre-ordered it via Steam out of laziness and habit. For some reason, they’re giving away some RTS I’ve never really paid any attention to with it. Universe at War: Earth assault. Um, well that’s nice.

Counter Strike 2 Needs Your Support

A UK resident, Dave England, has started a Facebook petition and website in an effort to spur makers of the the popular Half Life Engine on which Counter Strike was originally modded, Valve into making a sequel to the extremely widely played but slowly dwindling game Counter Strike.

If you have ever seen a computer you probably know what Counter Strike is, I think it is safe to say that I speak for a large portion of players worldwide when I say that this title is worth “saving”.
